Underwater Photo Clinics
Andy Martinez, a 25 year old veteran diver has published once already and plans to do so again. Take a look at some of his work.
With the help of the staff at York Beach Scuba, Martinez will be leading underwater photo workshops for fellow divers. There is a one day seminar and two day course that are aimed towards those who have never photographed underwater, as well as those who may not be getting the results they want.
One Day Seminar
Macro Photo Class
- 8am - Registration at the dive center
- 9am - Photo lecture/Class
- 1 Review of basic photography terms and concepts
- 2 Macro photography
- 3 Composition
- 4 Use of a strobe
- 5 Camera maintenance
- Lunch
- 1-1:30 Boat dives
- Guided shore/boat dive with photography instructor. After the dive the film will be developed and instructor will critique the film with the students to improve photo techniques.
- Wide Angle Option
- 1 Photo techniques
- 2 Film, lenses
- 3 Wide angle lens phtography
- 4 Available light
- 5 Camera maintenance
One day seminar: $195
Two Day Course
This course will cover:
- Common photographic terms
- Camera maintenance
- Films
- Lenses
- TTL
- Manual and auto focus camera
- Wide angle
- Use of strobes
- Available light photography
- Critiques of the film shot during the course
