Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver

Individualized training in enriched air (Nitrox) is also available through YBS. Probably the biggest breakthrough in diver safety since the invention of DAN. Used by the U.S. Navy and recommended by NOAA for over 50 years, enriched air nitrox offers recreational divers additional safety, increased no decompression times and greater diver comfort.

Training certification from York Beach Scuba is offered through Technical Diving International (TDI). Academics for the course include specialized training in determining best gas mix, rules for oxygen exposure and proper equipment preparation and maintenance.
