Started Dogs

Our started dogs are generally between 9 and 18 months of age. All our dogs' hips have been preliminarily x-rayed and only those that receive a rating of good to excellent by OFA standards are offered for sale. All dogs will have had contact with two to three hundred quail. They will point and hold long enough to allow you great shooting, but are not steady to wing and shot. These are close working dogs, hunting a natural "bell range" of 20 to 40 yards. They're easy handling, very cautious dogs with enormous natural talent.
