Snakeroot Organic Farm is a two-acre MOFGA certified organic farm producing mixed vegetables and culinary and medicinal herbs. We also operate a 290 tap maple sugarbush and three greenhouses for producing seedlings and early and late vegetables. We have been farming together since 1990, and have over 40 years combined experience growing organically in Maine.

We sell primarily at these Farmers' Markets:

Orono Farmers' Market
Saturday mornings 8am-1pm. from mid May until mid November; and Tuesday afternoons from 2-5:30pm from late June until October 30. At the UMO Steam Plant parking lot on College Ave.

Winslow Farmers' Market
Thursday afternoons from 2-6pm. In the Johnny's Selected Seeds parking lot. Open Mother's Day until Halowe'en.

Pittsfield Farmers' Market
Monday & Thursday afternoons, 2-6pm. At Hathorn Park across from Hartland Ave. Open May Day till Hallowe'en.

Unity Farmers' Market
Saturday mornings 9am-1pm. At the Community Center parking lot on Rt 139 (School Street). Open mid May until mid November.

. . . and at the Farm
Anytime we're not at market, stop by from 8am til dusk. From the Weeks Road, we are 1/2 mile down the Snakeroot Road on the right. The farm isn't visible from the road; look for our sign near the end of our driveway heading into the woods. Directions to our farm. We always enjoy vistors who come tour our vegetable, herb and perennial gardens and greenhouses.
