CHURCH CALENDAR OF SPECIAL EVENTS   

                                                      

Thurs, Nov 27th  - Join us Thanksgiving Day for worship and lunch!  The 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Pot Luck lunch, organized by Cindy Adcock, will follow the 10 am service.  St. Matthew’s parishioners and their families are invited. Please let us know that you are coming by adding your name, number of people, and what you are bringing to the signup sheet near the church’s front door.

 

Saturday, Dec. 6,  9:30 am until Noon. The women of St. Matthew’s are invited to take some time to be together in God’s presence and be refreshed before being swept up in the activities surrounding Christmas.  There will be reflections shared by Louise Lord, as well as times of quiet in prayer, reading, or what you most like to do to experience closeness with the Lord.  Instead of a “pot luck lunch”, we will end with homemade vegetable soup, a variety of breads, and a special dessert.

Sat, Dec 20th    @ 7:30 am - Men’s Breakfast at St. Matthew’s

 

Sun, Dec  21st @ 10:00 am service – Lessons & Carols and Children’s Christmas Program.

 

Weds, Dec  24th  @ 11:00 pm – Christmas Eve Eucharist with Carols

 

Thurs, Dec 25th – 10:00 am – Christmas Day Service followed by potluck dinner & fellowship

 

Weds, Dec 31st  – 5:30 – 10:30 pm – New Year’s Eve potluck dinner & fellowship.  Games for all ages.   Can you stump our priest with bible trivia?

 

Tues, January 6th   - 7:00 pm – Epiphany Service in the Sanctuary.

 

Sun, January 11th   - Join us for lunch where we will plan our winter events—maybe a dinner at Ralph’s German Restaurant in Brunswick, a luncheon talk with the diocesan archivist about preserving parish history? Or bring your ideas.    After lunch we will watch an intriguing film where Jesus joins a woman for dinner, The Perfect Stranger.
