This recipe comes from Cson Johnson, who runs the MaineK9Rescue site at Yahoo! Groups. Besides being a dedicated rescuer of Jack Russells, other terriers, and French Bulldogs, she makes a pretty mean dog treat, too.
Ingredients:
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 cup natural peanut butter
1 cup skim milk
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Combine flour and baking powder in one bowl, and peanut butter and milk in
another. Add wet ingredients to dry and mix well. Roll dough out on a lightly
floured surface and knead. Roll out to 1/4 inch thick and cut out shapes with
a cookie cutter. Place on greased baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or
until lightly browned.
Cool in rack and store in an airtight container.
