I've been working on the Web since the mid-1990s, back when you still had to walk 6 miles uphill both ways to get to work and people meticulously hand-carved every letter of their code into stone. Consequently, I've created some old-style sites (my older efforts) and some newer ones. Eventually, everything I still maintain will be upgraded to a new CSS/XHTML model with W3C standards-compliant code.
If you're looking for reasonably-priced Web site design (don't use this site as an example -- it gets updated last!), have a look at the new, standards-compliant sites and contact me.

I am a contributing writer for Downeast Dog News and for MainePets.com. My articles have also recently appeared in the Tale's End (newsletter for New England Old English Sheepdog Rescue), for which I served a term as proofreading/editing help, the Telegram (newsletter for the Piscataqua Obedience Club), and Hair of the Dog (newsletter for the Bearded Collie Club of Maine).
In addition, I blogged the 2007 Bay Colony Dog Show for my blog Dog Show Newbie at the invitation of the show's PR agency, and will be returning to blog about the 2008 show.
I am also a member of the Dog Writers' Association of America.
