CALLS FOR SERVICE - PATROL DIVISION

The Sanford Police Department Patrol Division is headed by Major Gordon Littlefield, Commander of Operations. It is comprised of 27 uniformed officers who patrol the 54 square miles of the Town of Sanford and Village of Springvale.

In a typical year, the Division handles approximately 35,000 calls for service ranging from public assists to homicide.

The Patrol Division is staffed by 3 Sergeants and 3 Corporals who supervise a Squad of 6-8 personnel. The officers work a permanent shift with rotating days off every 28 days.
