High Adventure Outfitters and Guide Service

Price Schedule for 2008
While we try to stay competitive with our daily fees
the first thing one notices in the initial steps of hiring a Maine
Guide is that daily fees differ widly across the State and even
within the same area. There are no price standards that any guide
must adhere to and it pretty much comes down to the individual guide
setting a fee that he or she thinks is fair compensation for the day.
Most guides work at a steady job and must take time away from that job
to guide clients. Therefore most guides set their fees to
at least match what they would have made at their place of work.
Additional costs are incurred when traveling to the north woods;
the obvious costs are highway tolls, gas, and meals but there may also
be gate fees to access private lumber company land or lodging fees for
overnight stays. Guides who use boats must charge extra fees for
fuel, maintenance, and insurance.
With that in mind, here are the 2008 prices for the activities that our
guides provide (Keep in mind, fishing prices are for two people;
additional fees will be accessed for more persons joining the trip):
| Freshwater wading: 8 hours, snacks, beverages, lunch |

watching, moose or wildlife observation, or similar activities.
