We are well in the middle of the spectrum between number-crunching war-gamers and completely diceless role-players. In general, we want to keep our rules simple, reasonable, and secondary to the plot. And although we use the AD&D system for game mechanics, in practice our campaign more closely resembles story-driven games like Ars Magica or Pendragon.
