Utterbol Castle (Pentian Year 912)

Utterbol Castle, once the home of Count Durell of Kirke, was captured by Prince Briareus in the invasion and subsequently expanded by the ruck-men, who added an extensive timber outer works.

A The eastern timber gates guard a steep earthen access ramp that leads directly to the Keep.
B Two sturdy timber gates protect the main entrance into Utterbol. Rotting-Eye rucks equipped with bows usually man the walls and towers.
C The outer works are where most of Briareus's regular garrison are housed.
D The inner ward of the castle is surrounded by thick stone walls. A large garrison of veteran Black Blades is stationed here.
E The main entrance to the Keep is heavily defended.
F The personal quarters of Prince Briareus himself is said to hold a secret entrance to the fabled treasure vaults of Utterbol. The Prince is surrounded by his fearsome guard of elite Black Blades.
