The * Frilond * Campaign
Powers
- Five, The (The Lords of Law, the Lords of Order, the Kings on High, the
Five Kings, the Founders, the Quinary, etc.).
- The supreme Power in Pentian cosmology; the Five are a force of ultimate
Law. They are never depicted physically in art or named in writing. They are
the Five-in-One, the Indivisible, and are always described as a single Power.
They are distant, omnipotent, and unknowable. The Five do not interact directly
with humans in the material world; the saints intercede on behalf of mortal
men.
- Hacamuli.
- A horrid abomination, summoned to this world and then bound beneath Lorn
Abbey. Appears as an emaciated, sore-covered black horse that stands on two
legs.
- Shaithim, The (the Old Ones, the Cursed Ones, the Nighted Ones, the Worms,
the Foul Worms, the Elder Worms, the Worms of the Pit, etc.).
- The infernal counterparts to the Five, the Shaithim are said to be the worms
who originally tempted Larith and Canem. The Shaithim are the black princes
of all fiends, and are said to be imprisoned in a great mountain of ice at
the center of Perdition. They are lords of deception, and they are able to
corrupt men. They are the embodiment of chaos and evil. They are masters of
illusions, necromancy, and conjuration magic. All good Pentian souls in Frilond
hate and fear the Shaithim; they are the Five's black counterpart. Witches
and foul monsters venerate the Old Ones, as do intelligent beasts and other
lowly things.
