"An enriching experience for all ages"

Boothbay Region YMCA

We welcome you to the Boothbay Dolphin Swim Team. Our team follows this statement of belief: The Boothbay Region YMCA is the center of our community, connecting us to each other and available to all, regardless of age, creed, personal ability and financial need. Our "Y" must foster communication within families and promote principles essential to all families, of all sizes and all relationships. Our "Y" must build individual physical strength, sharpen mental abilities, attitudes and promote emotional well being. Our "Y" must nurture spiritual principles imbedded in our Christian heritage of YMCA for our health, wholeness, and holiness.

The Team Philosophy The YMCA promotes broad participation in sports, not just fine-tuning the elite athlete. Teaching the fundamental skills, encouraging lifetime involvement in physical activity and strengthening the values of fitness health, self-respect and the respect for others are central themes in the YMCA sports philosophy.

Our Objectives :

Grow personally: Build Self-esteem.  People that are involved in YMCA programs gain a greater source of their own worth. They learn to treat themselves and others with respect

Clarify Values: Develop moral and ethical behavior based on Christian Principles - Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.

Improve Personal and Familial Relationships: Learn to care, communicate and cooperate with family and friends.

Appreciate Diversity: Respect people of different ages, abilities, incomes, races, religions, cultures and beliefs.

Become Better Leaders and Supporters: Learn the give-and-take necessary to work toward the common good.

Develop Specific Skills: Acquire new knowledge and ways to grow in spirit, mind, and body.

Have fun! Enjoy Life
