to
Church of Our Father
From 95
North or South: Follow
95 to Bangor Exit 182A (formerly Exit 45A).
This puts you on Route 395, which you follow all the way to its end,
bearing right onto Route 1A towards
Ellsworth (18 miles).
As you approach Ellsworth, you will pass
straight through a traffic light (Ellsworth High School on the left and the Mill
Mall just ahead on the right). The next traffic light will be at the intersection of
Main Street
and High Street (St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on the left).
At that intersection, Route 1A becomes Route 3 and High Street.
Go straight through the intersection.
Continue straight through the
traffic light past Shaw’s Supermarket and through the next light as well (at intersection of Route 3 and Route
1). McDonald’s Hamburgers
is on the right and you will be heading towards Bar Harbor. Before
reaching Mount Desert
Island, you will go through Trenton, most easily recognized by its many
lobster pounds, gift shops, and the
Bar Harbor Airport.
From
Trenton, Route 3 crosses a short bridge onto
Mount Desert Island.
Once
on the island, the road forks at the Parkadia Store. Bear left on Route 3;
Church of Our Father is approximately 7 miles further on the left.
