The Museum In The Streets focuses on the largest ethnic minority to settle in Waterville, Les Franco-Americain, during the 19th and 20th centuries. The "Museum" tour will walk you through the heart of their community, an area in the south end of the city commonly called "The Plains".

The Walking Tour

Tour maps are available in some Main Street and Water Street stores

The Museum In The Streets walking tour has been organized by the Franco American Heritage Society of Kennebec Valley and made possible in part by many contributions from family members of those in the photos and citizens of Waterville. Assistance in funding was made through the City of Waterville.

The Museum In The Streets is a trademark owned and protected.
