Scenes of Boothbay Harbor
Please take a moment and
relax, while you gaze upon the beauty known only as Boothbay Harbor, Maine.

My grandmother, Ethel Mckown-Coolen, welcomed guests from all over the world
to the Cool Inn. It was the place to be in Boothbay Harbor during the 1920's.
While my grandmother took care of those on the land, her husband, my grandfather,
Ben Coolen, captained visitors and guests around the harbor on one of the first
tour boats to cruise the Boothbay Harbor Region.

The craggy Maine coastline is beautiful and has much to behold. There is
nothing like smelling the salt air, hearing the waves lap the shore as
the gulls screech, and watching eastward while the sun is rising over
the Atlantic ocean. Can you imagine being among the very first in our nation
to witness the birth of a new day?

This stone church was built by my grandfather, Benjamin Coolen and is located on Ocean Point..

There is much to see here, in Boothbay Harbor, and I
invite you to be a witness to it. The lighthouses, the docks, the coast,
and Downeast hospitality. It all awaits you, as does, Nana's Place.
