(Greetingsfluff) I am thoroughly impressed with your response to the Algonquin fools. You covered my thoughts and feelings better then I could do. Then again, I'm still trying to get into the swing of things having had command thrust upon my shoulders suddenly, when all I had been doing before was symp training.

My brother, Gus, has told me a little bit about you and White Mountain Warren and how you two have cooperated in the past. We are in the process of rebuilding the bunmover infrastructure here in Maine no thanks to the Fudds (STOMP!). At some point in the coming year we will be connecting Bowsbuck Warren to the rest of the state. How soon that will be will depend on funding. It wouldn't be much of a problem to extend the line to White Mountain Warren if you're interested in being connected.

(inquiryfluff) Would you be interested in such a set-up?

Jerry -

Your tightbeam has been received here at White Mountain Warren. I hope that the adjustment to your new leadership role goes smoothly. After the accident here at WMW I found myself in a similar situation. Almost 18 months later, while I can't claim to be completely comfortable with my commander's post, at least I find it less taxing than I did initially. If you ever find yourself in need of impartial advice, drop me a tightbeam and I would be more than willing to offer my thoughts.

Gus Crimsonpaw was instrumental in the rebuilding of White Mountain Warren last winter, sending Corporal Thistleroot and a detachment of Maine buns to our rescue. I remain [fluff] indebted to him. Thistleroot has been invaluable to us and now commands our Forest Brigade, a model fighting force.

WMW would be very interested in joining the bunnymover line, I would like to thank you very much for seeking us out in this. Connections to our brethren in Maine can only serve to strengthen us in our battle against the Fudds.

When you have determined the construction schedule, please forward it to me.

We have at our disposal several resources which you might find to be useful. Last spring we managed to capture and convert a Fudd monkey. With a little cuton we turned him from a hired gangland hitman into a compliant symp [gigglefluff]. He has been quite useful to us and he would be available to you if you should wish. Additionally, we have a beer truck (Miller Lite!) and our symp's Jeep. Should you need any of these in your construction effort, just say the word.

Again, thank you for contacting us on this matter. I look forward to your response and to working with you.

Thanks.

(apologyfluff) Forgive me in taking so long to reply, Snowshoe. Your message to me was misdirected to my brother's warren in Western Maine while I work at DEWComm, currently in Bangor. I reside about 50 miles east of there with my human symp family.

I very much appreciate the offer, Showshoe. (wearysighfluff) I already find the burden of commandship to be very heavy. Especially, when I have to work twice as hard to prove myself. Whether or not you've seen the records, you should know that I am a convert who was once very blind to Frith's great light. The various warrens here in Eastern Maine (Down East Maine) must see something in me that I haven't seen yet to appoint me commander.

If I had command of just one warren as you have to deal with it would be much easier to command. But for me, it's about 24 warrens located over the area of Maine from Bangor eastward to the New Brunswick border. Down East Command (DEWComm) is just the command nerve center, currently located in Bangor. It will be relocated closer to the center of our territory in Cherryfield by Easter. This will enable faster communications to all warrens and make it more difficult for Fudds to attack.

(impressivefluff) Gus didn't go into much detail. I hadn't realized how much he had helped you. Of course, Maine Buns are hearty due to the unforgiving environment we have been raised in. (proudfluff)

Exactly. This is the main reason we are pushing to upgrade the bunmover line. It will also enable us to travel southward without having to go northward through Canada to get there. And (snarl) with the incompetance currently showing to our west near Toronto, I don't want to have to rely on *THEM* to get to points south.

When the plan is finalized I will alert you. I am still negotiating the funding source. We could do it on our own come fall, but I find this an unacceptable time frame and am currently attempting to speed this up. If everything falls into place, we'll be connected with the rest of the states by Easter. (hop)

(gigglefluff, rubpaws) If all goes well, we might be able to launch a major offensive against the Maine Fudds by July 4. >:)=

I was a blind Fudd before I saw Frith's light two years ago, Snowshoe. As of that time, the Army of Fudd hadn't stooped into city gang politics. The AoF may be wrong in opposing us, but they had more honor in battle then that. (droopears)

As for the other equipment you have, I'll keep it in mind if and when we have use of it.

Commander SnowShoe,

What in the (fluffSTOMP!) are you doing? Didn't your techs give you a copy of my plan (tm) and it's schedule? If not, I'll send another copy. It's real important that you do not engage the enemy at this time. We can't spare the buns to help you right now or we risk a two front battle. You think the Maine Fudds will sit by idling while you engage a combined Fourier/Fudd force. AWFie is probably counting on you to forget about the Maine Fudds.

I know their tactics and their commander too well. I use to serve under him when I was a sick Fudd. He taught me well (gigglefluff), too well. >:)= Major Blake isn't keeping quiet due to the quality of your banter. He isn't willing to show his paw to you. Believe me, if you expose yourself by attacking the Mass monkeys, he'll strike and strike faster then you can blink. I doubt we could even muster my brother's warren fast enough to counter the threat.

Look at our history. Three and a half years ago, a small Maine Fudd and Lumberjack force defeated a combined Maine bun and bunmarine force more then twice their size. Two years ago the Maine Fudds barely held-out under a combined force lead by Gus and his deceased brother, Browny. The only thing that had saved the Fudds that day is a group of Lumberjacks who had been patrolling nearby and came to their rescue.

I need you for our battle later this spring. But if you go through with this now, you probably won't be around.

Ignore Dunwich for now. Help me snuff-out the insects in China, Maine first. (pleadfluff) Then with our combined force we can wipe out Dunwich. By that time the Bunmover system will be in place which will help us speed fresh bun forces into the battle as needed. Trust me, as long as he's got Fouriers helping him, you can't defeat AWFie alone.

Cmdr Jerry CrimsonPaw, Down East Command (DEWComm), Cherryfield, Maine
