The majority of this was posted by other writers, in-character, in reaction to The Search of Eugene. Please read that story before reading this collection of posts. Authors are given credit for their posts at the start of each post. This is also one way to get into a collaboration, but not the recommended way. We shall see if 'Deuce' survives the infamous Collaboration Curse.
The segments below were posted to alt.devilbunnies 29 November-17 December, 1999. I've tried my best to patch these together in chronological order as much as possible. This collection is not complete and I apologize for I did loose some of the posts. It is not as easy to keep track of a banter thread as it is to keep track of a story. The majority of the buns reacted with praise, except NoBunny who doesn't like to see spamming on an open channel. Kevin Blackburn defended the execution of a known criminal and a few Fudds promised revenge. If anyone wants to see they rest, they can go searching in the alt.devilbunnies archives from the end of November through mid-December, 1999. Hopefully, the ten segments below capture the essence of the reaction, and help lead into the stories to come.
As for FluffyTeacher's reaction, see FluffyTeacher's Visit for that is a story in itself.

We just got the video of Eugene. I figured someone should tell you that, no matter what the "official AoF line" is, you did the right thing. There ain't no such thing as a civilian bunny. CrimsonPaw was gonna spam Eugene no matter what happened; he's just trying to use you as an excuse.
Besides, I don't know why, but I got this funny feeling that video's at least partly faked. If you get CrimsonPaw to send you those cans (which you oughta, if only so Eugene can get a Fudd's burial), maybe you wanna have some DNA tests or something done on 'em.

I would like to hereby declare an official day of mourning for all Fudds and Fudd allies. Flags will be flown at half-mast. A short memorial will be held at NoCo, and all Fudds and allies are invited to attend to remember those who have fallen in our eternal struggle.

Don't worry, Crimsonpaw. If it's justice you want, it's justice you'll get.

This 'rogue' has admitted on an open channel to the collaboration between him and the Fudd executed. Said Fudd was also guilty of other crimes against bun kind here in Maine and in the south.
Do I need to go through the long list or the short list, BHX? His list of crimes wasn't quite as long as yours, but it was long enough.
The short list:
The 'discovery' (as he called it) of the insidious bun-killing chemical you call, Moxie, Lubbock, TX, 1994. Said chemical has been used to maim, harm, and kill our kind countless times ever since, including an 'accidental' mix-up with Snapple Ice Tea in 1994.
Theft of devilbunny classified documents, Lubbock, TX, 1994.
Aiding in wholesale devilbunny slaughter, RE: The First Lubbock Battle, 1994.
Aiding and abetting a known devilbunny traitor, one Major Steven A. Blake, aka BrownPaw (and several other code names), many, many times 1994-1999 in Texas, Louisiana, and Maine.
Destruction of a bun medical research facility (Namakata Research Laboratory Warren), the murder of its warren leader, and aiding the local rebellious tree rat population, Maine, spring 1995.
The surprise attack on several bun warrens in and around Portland, Maine, several of which were civilian (STOMP!), (RE: Battle 'o Portland) 1995.
Forceful relocation of over 2000 civilian devilbunnies at the conclusion of the previous mentioned battle. Many of those families still remain dislocated out-of-state with little hope of ever returning to Portland.
Profiteering over bun hardship, RE: 'The Devilbunnies Movie' created from film footage taken from the Portland Battle and the resulting relocation of civilian buns.
Aiding and abetting the War of Four through open wide beam transmission admission by local Fourier leader, Sgt. Wade.
Never mind all the buns he has killed directly or indirectly over that five year period.
Trust me, the Fudd was executed for more then his most recent crime. (STOMP!) I should have cloned him and executed him twice!

Listen, Bill, the sentiment is all well and good, but just between us... do you mean it, or is it just PR to make CrimsonPaw think you're buying the [PiG-13] he's spewing? I really don't think Eugene's dead. Just putting him through the Spam-O-Matic seems like kinder treatment than the buns would give him.
How sensitive are the NoCo geometers? D'you think they could pick up a large source of grinch in the middle of a warren? You guys probably already tracked that widebeam and figured out where it came from, so all we'd need to do is sweep the area and we might find where they're holding Eugene. I could supply some choppers for an aerial search...

Pomerleau was not innocent. He was tried and found guilty of crimes against bunkind. Only after this trial was he executed according to our law. Do you expect me to believe that I would recieve treatment any different if captured by the Fudds? I suspect the only difference would be the length of the trial. It would be much shorter. Pomerleau's namesake has cost many a bun their lives. My own paw was dissolved away by the foul fluid while I lay trapped underneath a slain Fudd. I only hope he felt a fraction of my agony.

I don't know, O'Connor. But we've got our best people working on it.

There are things that don't quite add up. But we're very good at math here.

It'll be more than just a PR victory. And one long overdue.
