*****BUNIX TIGHTBEAM TO FUZZY BUNNY*****

(Greetingsfluff) Fuzzy, I'm sure Downyfluff has been keeping you informed of the situation up here in Maine. I need a little help (pleadfluff). If we are to effectively counteract the combined Fudd/Fourier threat in Maine, we need to revamp/rebuild Maine's bunmover infrastructure. Enclosed is the proposals from our engineering team along with the costs involved. In order for us to pull this off in the three months I want to see it happen in, we need money.

As the enclosed proposal shows, we can pull this off by skimming an extra 0.5% on the profits for the next three months on those Disney collectibles we now have the symps up here assembling. This is a small favor to ask considering the publicity and good will those jobs generate, not to mention the PR you'll get as buns all over Maine learn that Disney chipped-in to help rebuild Maine. (noddle)

Once the bunmover tunnels are rebuilt, we will be able to better deploy our troops and (hopefulfluff) crush the Fudd/Fourier resistance in Maine. While the reconstruction is taking place, I intend to recruit the help of some Canadian buns who use to know Cathy Blake much the way I know Mariel. Maybe they can bring Cathy back into the Fluffy Fold™. If so, we would then have up-to-date information on the Maine Fudd base.

I'd like to talk to Rob Haynes and his family about conversion. I'm sure that after conversion he could continue his duties, but in the meantime, he would be absent, if he and his family are interested after being properly educated on the subject. I would like your opinion on this. He has served us well so far, and as I said in my interviews with you in person, if I could, I would talk to them on conversion, and now that I'm in charge, I have nobun to stop me. (fangygrin)

Thank you for your time and help,
(bunnyhugs)
Jerry CrimsonPaw

Enclosures

(ohfluff) The labs have tested and found the five enclosed toes to be safe and clean. We harvested them from one of the Fouriers who was spammed recently. (shudderfluff) I'm sure Downyfluff could provide you with a video on that unpleasant incident. Though I know there are probably buns out there who wish Fudds could be trained to march into a spammer like those Fouriers did. (shrugpoof)

Jerry,

Yes, I've been going over the material I've received from Downyfluff. While I regret the death of Browny Crimsonpaw, it's nice to see you move up in the ranks so rapidly.

As far as your proposal goes, you may have been elevated to warren leadership but I'm still only a minor functionary. I'm all for it, but a change in the profit margin for us requires a board vote. I'm sure Downyfluff has explained how things happen in KingdomWarren. I went and spoke with the more influential board members on your behalf. The only two groups that might prevent the vote from passing are Accounting and Engineering. The bean-counters haven't been happy with the whole deal from day one to be quite blunt. The engineers aren't happy because it wasn't their idea. I think if you're willing to make a few concessions to them, they'll vote the way we want. All you need to do is agree to have a few 'advisors' come up and work side by side with you and your engineering group for the duration of the project. Any expenses incurred by them would of course be paid by us.

As for converting the Haynes family, like you said, nobun can stop you. But I should point out that you'll need to appoint another human to be the outer head of the organization. We'll need approval on the new human and everything needs to be in place before any conversions are performed. On the other paw, if converting your human family makes you and them happy, go ahead.

Fuzzy hit the send key and sat back in his chair. He actually did feel bad about Browny's death. Sure, it had been part of the plan but there it was. A little twinge of conscience. Fuzzy reflected that he would have had to kill Browny sooner or later and that the late Crimsonpaw would have wanted to fall in battle anyway. So Fuzzy felt much better having done such a good deed.

Jerry on the other paw was developing an uncomfortable amount of spine. Not that he'd have to be eliminated. Yet. But he would be watched closely. The relationship with Downyfluff should be encouraged. Fuzzy made a note. He needed something to replace the leverage he was about to lose in the Haynes'. Once they were converted, they'd make much less useful pawns. And from the tone of Jerry's note, conversion was a foregone conclusion.

Fuzzy Bunny--Just another harmless fluffy bunny

(wearysighfluff) It is rather trying. I fear in some ways it maybe more then I can handle. I was very happy teaching the way of Cute to the Haynes. However, I am striving to do my best for others must have seen something in me that I don't.

[nibble]

(scuffpaw) Well, I didn't get to that in the last message. Browny had some excellent plans drawn-up to rebuild the bunmover system to reconnect Maine with the rest of the country. A system that would follow the new natural gas line being put in from the New Brunswick border all the way across the state to Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

The Fudds, wanting to 'keep things legal' in their minds, would never dream of bombing such a set-up if they ever found out, since that would result in Federal terrorism charges. (gigglewiggle) They'd waste years and years and get no where complaining to the Dept of Enviromental Protection, which Browny had bought-out a few years ago. (sighfluff) Unfortunately, these plans didn't take into account a future Fourier presence in the state. (STOMP!)

Do you think the Disney Engineering Corps would enjoy the challenge of modifying these plans to make that mover Fourier attack proof? Oh, and we'd need a lateral spur put in to connect with remote northwestern Maine to two warrens, one on either side of the border into the system. Would a request like this make the engineers a little more happy with the request? (inquiryfluff)

As for the bean counters, if they don't go along, I do have a proposal for them, but I don't want them to hear about it unless it's absolutely necessary to win their vote. If they aren't willing to just give us the money we need bunny-to-bunny, united as we're suppose to be in the war effort, then how about a loan? Give us that profit skimming up front, and in return, we'll give you the same margin on this coming year's wild blueberry harvest. This would be a gamble, for the harvest varies from year to year. Last year was a 'poor' year as we only harvested 55 million pounds(1) instead of the normal 62 million.

(noddle) Of course, we'd train another human. I'd make that a requirement before Robert could convert--he'd do the preliminary training before his 'assistant' is shipped down to you for further education. I wanted to check with you for I know Mr. Haynes signed a contract with you. I haven't seen it and don't want to, for it isn't really my business. Some buns stick no conversion clauses in said contracts. (relievefluff) I'm glad to see that this is not the case in your contract with Robert.

(1)--Yes, that many wild blueberries are harvested every year in Down East Maine. Now you
know why we ARE the world's wild blueberry capital. Approximately 90% of all baked/bakery
products containing wild blueberries are Maine wild blueberries. (hop)

Sorry for the delay in response, but you know how things get around the beginning of a year.

Engineering has given complete buy-in to the project. Accounting was forced to either sign on or be a convienient point of blame should things not work out. I don't think you'll need to surrender any profits from your agricultural business.

I try not to rely any any particular link in a chain. Accidents happen and the project has to go on. As for conversion, it's sufficiently rare and often I can keep the subject working with a project in some capacity.

As an aside, Downyfluff has expressed some interest in coming up with the Engineering team. I usually send someone to act as a liason between the warrens anyway, so unless it would be a problem for you...

You'll find some information about the team in the attached file.

I thank you for your help in this matter, Fuzzy.

I'm sure that wouldn't be a problem. Robert is very dedicated to his job.

[Jerry stares at the message a moment in disbelief and delight.]

I'll have a burrow ready for Downyfluff's arrival...Oh, and quarters set-up for the engineering corps. Again, thank your superiors for their willingness to help us rebuild our infrastructure.
