WHAT SUMMER?
Many people who came to Maine this summer were disappointed.
If you had vacation thoughts of swimming and the beach, it was a cool summer for you.
Some people liked the cooler weather however.
In any case, it was a much colder summer.
In July, we had a wind flow from Canada for most of the month.
This put a stop to any heat wave that tried to invade the Northeast this summer.

WATER TEMPERATURE
The water temperature in Sebago was chilly this summer.
For most of the summer, the water was only 69- 72 F at best. (within 3 feet).
Last summer the temperature of the water was between 74-77 F (within 3 feet.)
It was much colder this summer than last.*********

Wild Weather in the Lakes Region
On July 4th, wild thunderstorms came through the area.
Parts of Harrison,Naples and Poland had major wind damage.
A funnel cloud was spotted over Long Lake also.
After it was said and done, it left barn doors ripped off, boats flipped and docks torn.
The NWS said that straight winds were the cause from this destruction.
For many people, it came up quick and people had little time to take cover.
ONE EVENT TO REMEMBER!!!!!!!

SNOW IN JUNE, 30'S IN JULY?
Let's talk about some snow, shall we?
In June, Caribou recorded a trace of snow.
And on the 20th, Fryeburg hit 39 F.
While parts of the midwest were in the low 100's.
Weather is so amazing!!!!!!

SHOW ME THE HEAT WAVE........
We only hit 90 F one day on June 17th.
And we saw many 60's & 70's instead.
On July 27th, we had a cold high temp. of only 65F.!!
In fact, our warmest high was back on May 7th with a high of 91 F.
