This flippant article caught my eye this morning, and even made me feel a little guilty, because there's a part of me that would love not working. Not only because my job tends to beat me up and spit me out, and I have more books than I have time to read, but because there are domestic activities that I enjoy that I never seem to get around to doing... or doing enough of. Like cooking. I'm getting better at cooking, both the actual cooking and the making time for it, but at this rate it'll take me years to learn all that I want to learn, and I'm impatient. Days off are so delicious... there's time for shopping and cleaning and planning... and also one good book if I don't have to pick Andrew up at work; that way of life starts to become alluring. If I had more time off, maybe I'd have made curtains by now.
