Entry: "Children's Books"

The New York Times Book Review did their special illustrated children's book section this past Sunday and I ordered a few things in that I hadn't seen yet. Please, if you find yourself in a bookstore, please check out Diary of a Wombat. It's the best thing I've seen in a while. (Ever since My Name is Yoon... which remains one of my favorites of this year) Also the book Beegu. Which is incredibly adorable... easily the best "alien ends up on Earth by mistake" picture book ever.

But seriously, if you look at one picture book this year, make it the wombat.
