Entry: "Middlesex"

Middlesex is out in paperback today. I still adore this book over almost all others.

In other news: There was a bit about Blankets in the NYT Book Review this week (on the "Books in Brief" page) that was just perfect because 1. It appears that the reviewer holds the book in high regard, 2. I agree entirely with his characterization of the book, and 3. I STILL don't like it so much. In fact, I feel more confident about what I didn't like about it, and less guilty about missing out on its greatness.

After all this "quality" stuff I've been reading lately I would be remiss if I didn't confess that on Saturday (In addition, remember, to reading Paul Auster's new book) I browsed through the last half of Seeress of Kell (By David Eddings, for those above such things) for nostalgia's sake. And I ENJOYED it! Just in case you were thinking that I had taste.

You should take another couple of steps down and read "Tarnsman of Gor." I think its great.
