Entry: "Splitting Wood"

Today established the following:

I can not split wood. I can make dents... I can trip over my own feet while stacking wood and get marvelous bruises... I can select good pieces of wood for splitting, and then set them on the splitting log for someone else to split. But the actual splitting part aint gonna happen. Andrew, of course, had better luck. It's the whole love of smashing things I think. Combined with a smidgen of upper body strength. He understood the splitting maul in a way I don't think I ever will. And I think that's ok.

AND Consolidating my loans in July was (as Martha would put it) a Good Thing.
