Entry: "Harold Bloom"

I just gotta love Harold Bloom. Though the whole Harry Potter thing is silly. He just sounds grumpy in that bit.

This fits in with today's birthday presents from my boss. She gave me her old little Liddell (always borrowed one from the library while I was at school) and a couple of Diogenes Loebs that she found hilarious. :) She has given up on her desire to learn Greek... other interests are more... interesting. So now these books can be cherished in my house instead, where I will somehow always want to go back and learn greek... and I will open them once in a while in fun, and then some day (most likely) pass them on to some one else...

Unrelated (in any obvious way) note: It has been suggested to me that (considering that I love Cummings) I might like John Berryman. It's entirely possible...

I don't know you or anything, but I must tell you I have a soft spot in my heart for people who appreciate classical Greek. The middle Liddell holds a place of honor in my bookcase.
