Entry: "Proust, PW article"

A PW article on CBS/Laura Bush's new book club for kids, and how badly it's been handled. The kicker is in the last paragraph.

I've experienced, today, the first of four days off in a row. A thing not experienced since January, and half of that time off was traveling. I was a total lump today. Tomorrow we're going to clean the house and go watch fireworks, and then... who knows. I've picked up Proust again... I must be insane because I find him comforting. A different time and pace. And wonderfully funny when I slow down and read it properly. I'm still in the middle of Swann in Love.... haven't read any of it for months, but it all came back instantly when I started reading.

I still want to read everything else I've got of course... but when I'm really tired and my brain is totally fried it's either children's books or (oddly enough) Proust

OR (as I mentioned before)
this stellar autobiography.
