About us

The cottages are owned and operated by Jon Goldstein. Jon is a professor of economics at nearby Bowdoin College. His philosophy includes a strong respect for the history/tradition of the cottages and surrounding area which is tempered by the reality of living in the 2000s. His long-term goal is to preserve as much of the tradition as is possible while creating a level of comfort consistent with contemporary expectations. I hope that this blend of old and new will provide an environment that you will want to return to year after year.
