1997 - Master of Science in Music Education, University of New Hampshire.
Course concentration included work in jazz voice, jazz piano, vocal pedagogy, curriculum development, and philosophy of education.
1987 - Bachelor of Music in Music Education,University of New Hampshire.
Completed a double major in voice and trombone.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Currently - Adjunct Music Faculty, University of Southern Maine. Director of Vocal Jazz, including direction of two vocal jazz ensembles, jazz voice studio, jazz arranging, and jazz combo coaching.
Currently - Director of Music, Cheverus High School, Portland, ME. Department Chair, currently leading curriculum development. Teaching responsibilities include Jazz Choir, Jazz Band, Jazz Combo, Chamber Choir and Music Theory.
1998-2002 - Music Teacher, Bonny Eagle High School, Standish, ME. Teaching responsibilities included Jazz Choir, Jazz Bands, Jazz Combos, Music Theory and Songwriting.
1997-1998 - Coordinator of Music, Portland Public Schools, Portland, ME. Music administrator for Maines largest citys public school music program.
Duties included curriculum development, budget allocation, teaching assignments and supervision.

Currently - Terry White Big Band. Vocalist, pianist, composer and arranger for the band. CD recording This Notes For You released 2002.
Currently - Free-Lance Jazz Vocalist, Pianist. Playing numerous engagements throughout New England.
1992-1997 - VocalEase. Leader, vocalist, composer and arranger for this vocal jazz group. Performances throughout New England at clubs and festivals. Featured on recording Strike Up The Band, released 1993.
1990-1996 - The Ritz. Vocalist, composer and arranger for the Denon Jazz recording artists. Performances in jazz clubs such as Fat Tuesdays and The Blue Note in New York, as well as venues in Tokyo, Vienna, Italy and Indonesia. Featured on recording Almost Blue, released 1992.
1993 - Clark Terrys Big Bad Band. Featured vocalist and lead trombone with the band on the Floating Jazz Festival cruise, and at the Clark Terry Jazz Camp in Lamars, Iowa.
1987-1997 - Clark Terry/UNH Jazz Festival. Yearly performances with faculty jazz ensemble and guest artists, Clark Terry, James Moody, Louie Bellson, Snooky Young, Marshall Royal, Sheila Jordan, James Williams, Rebecca Parris and Milt Hinton. ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE
2003-present - Interplay Jazz Camp, Endicott College, Beverly, MA. Vocal jazz instructor/artist in residence. Teaching responsibilities include vocal jazz master classes, individual lessons, vocal jazz combo coaching, accompanying, ear training and sight singing. Other faculty includes Armen Donelian, Matt Wilson, Rebecca Parris, Eugene Freisen and Freddie Bryant.
1988, 1989, 1993, 1997, 2004 - New Hampshire All-State Jazz Choir. Selected as guest conductor for NH Music Educators Association festival.
2003 - Aroostook County Music Festival. Selected as guest conductor for the Northern Maine All-County High School Chorus.
2001 - Rhode Island All-State Jazz Choir. Selected as guest conductor for RI Music Educators Association festival.
1998 - Pennsylvania Mid-West District Jazz Choir. Selected as guest conductor for PA Music Educators Association festival.
1998 - Massachusetts Western District Jazz Band. Selected as guest conductor for MA Music Educators Association festival.
1989, 1992, 1997 - Maine All-State Jazz Choir. Selected as guest conductor for ME Music Educators Association festival.
1988-present - Vocal Jazz Adjudicator. Clinician and adjudicator at more than 150 jazz festivals for Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts music educators associations, for the International Association of Jazz Educators, and for Classic Music Festivals.
Currently - Professional Organization Memberships. Actively involved as a member of IAJE, ACDA, MENC, Maine Jazz Alliance, Seacoast Jazz Society, and ASCAP. Selected for Whos Who Among Americas Teachers in 2002 and 2004.
