All of our products are produced the "old fashioned"
way, in small batches, strained and processed by hand. Batches
may vary a bit in color and texture, as each batch prepared may
be from different gatherings.
We grow many of the herbs used here, as well as
the produce. Apples are gathered from old trees and Rose Hips
are wildcrafted from the fields and along the shores of North
Coastal Maine.
After summer blooming, the rose shrubs produce
beautiful hips, that are very high in Vitamin C. Not only do you
experience the pleasure of a hot cup of tea or hot biscuits with
Rose Hip Spread, these products also are very nutritious. Rose
Hips were used years ago by Mariners to help prevent scurvy.
