It's their tenth album and is not as immediately accessible as the last record. Not that it's weak or bad, just harder to get to love. You'll have to work a little for this one to sink in, but any efforts in that direction will be more than amply rewarded. (BB)

Dance music from Denmark: a brew of streetwise hip-hop and jazzy soul overtones that blend with sultry vocal styles resulting in a combination fit for the dance floor or a sensual, quiet wine and candles evening. Refreshingly different than the bombastic dancercise currently flooding the airwaves. Danish anyone ? (SC)

Talk
Yes
Victory
Jeez, I put this in and the first song started playing and I kinda liked it. (It kinda sounds like 90125.) Being a Yes fan from way back, I really wanted to love this album, but, alas, NOT! The return of Chris Squire can't even pull this one out of the muck. Avoid. (BB)

Symphonic Music Of Yes
The London Philharmonic Orchestra
BMG
I remember hearing an interview with the members of Yes several years ago during which, vocalist/songwriter Jon Anderson stated that their music would probably live on for hundreds of years. This disc is easily proof of that, but I'd rather hear these tunes without the vocals and electric instruments. Maybe next time. (SC)

Unplugged
Neil Young
Reprise
I shouldn't have to say too much about this disc. Needless to say it's Neil at his unplugged best with many friends at his side. If you missed the original MTV program, this album will more than make up for that. A rare acoustic performance and a welcome addition to any collection. (BB)

Confessions
Dweezil Zappa
Barking Pumpkin
This is his third album and the best yet. With help from Nuno Bettencourt, two other members of "Extreme" and a few other friends, including Donny Osmond, Dweezil has crafted an album that grabs you by the ears and then grows on you with it's tasty guitar work, harmonies and ever present "hooks". Full of power- pop, instrumentals and a couple of cover tunes, Confessions is one that cuts through the typical FM fodder and leaves you wanting more. Check it out... (SC)

Neon
Alexander Zonjic
Reprise
Flute based jazz. A "Tim Weisberg", for the 90's. Thankfully, six of the eight cuts are instrumental with the best being, "Song For The Oceans". Although pleasant, the rest are primarily imperceptible and mediocre. Not worth the time or trouble unless you really enjoy being bored to the point tears. (SC)
