- Dig
- I Mother Earth
- Capitol
- A riff-heavy new band from California. Braiding strands of
'60s hard rock/psychedelic music and '90s funky-metal/grunge
they emerge with a unique sound that's all their own. Nine of
the twelve songs last five minutes or more, so be prepared to
crank the knob to "loud" and leave it there. (SC)

- Summerhill
- Dieter Ilg
- Lipstick
- An extraordinary bass player from Europe. Although not well
known over here, the musicians assembled for his American debut,
Mike Stern, Bob Berg, Randy Brecker, Jim Beard and Peter Erskine,
indicate that he's already made a name for himself in jazz circles.
You'll play this disc more than once. Tasty. (BB)

- Bright New Day
- Inclined
- Chaos
- Blending rock, funk and jazz, this new band, featuring Miles
Tackett, the son of occasional Little Feat guitarist, Fred Tackett,
jumps on the current funk/rock bandwagon with varied results.
The jazz leanings help a bit, but overall the songs sound similar
and won't hold your attention for too long. (CS)

- Infidels
- Infidels
- I.R.S.
- What we have here, Ladies and Gentlemen is a "Heart"
for the 90's with as much initial fire as the originals. If they
remain true to course, Melissa Etheredge should keep an eye on
her behind. The torch they bear will be passed on to the next
generation with fervor. (SC)

- The Power Of Great Music
- James Ingram
- Warner Brothers
- A greatest hits package from a powerful balladeer featuring
three new songs. If you buy one James Ingram album make it this
one. All will be in one slick package without having to pick
through his average catalog. Great for weddings and other family
gatherings, "Yah Mo Be There." (SC)
