Fordson Tractor Serial Numbers

Identifying the year your Fordson was made is not always easy. The serial number is stamped on the engine block and the number is not always well stamped and visible.

To compound the problem, Fordson's were pretty interchangable from year to year and during their working years it was not uncommon to switch engines or rearends to keep a working tractor on the farm. Because of this problem you'll frequently find Fordson's with a mixture of parts from various years on the same tractor.
