McCormick Deering 1916 Hay Press

This machine was a very labor and time consuming way of storing hay. It took from 6 to 8 men to tend this machine. It was stationary and hay had to be hauled to it. The wheels were only for moving it from farm to farm with horses. The bails weighed from 200 to 250lbs. and were tied with 3 wires.
