On a little independent island network, a show called Peter's Angels premiered. The series was based on three young detectives who worked for the Peter Criss Detective Agency. Peter, who was their anonymous boss, gave them assignments via a speaker phone. The show was based on guns, rocknroll, and make-up. The trio consisted of Chris, best known for being the "smart angel," Tristan known as the "athletic angel," and rounding out the team was "street wise" Gil. For the last two episodes, the Angels worked with their trusty counter-part, Rocky Munroe, played by Sonny Bono.

Peter's Angels was a huge success the moment it hit the airwaves in Guam. The Angels found themselves not only on gyroscopes, view masters, puzzles and posters, but they also found themselves on the cover of Detective Monthly magazine. Suddenly, Guam was in love with the Angels. Each Wednesday night, around 10 o'clock, women tuned in for the clothing and hair, while men just tuned in for the cool Peter Criss makeup and rock n'roll.

Being #1 in Guam was great for the Angels, but it was Tristan who took off like a rocket with his famous "twirling drumsticks" poster, which sold thousands of copies!  Also popular was the life-size "hand with drumstick" poster of Peter.  Producer Erin Spelling kept the show fresh by using live rocknroll sequences as well as having a weekly crime to solve. But legal problems kept the show from being aired in the US. The swan song for Peter's Angels came when a lawsuit forced the addition of Sonny Bono as a wise cracking sidekick.  The show would never recover from this blow, and never receive the accolades it so richly deserved.

Erin Spelling was devastated by the cancellation of her series. She spent many years working on sequels, which never materialized.  This was partly because Peter was so traumatized by his failure, that he refused to even read subsequent treatments for the show.  Without Peter, Erin tried to recast the role of Peter Criss, but found that actors in Hollywood were sadly lacking the vitality and drumsticks that Peter had. Legend has it that Erin did shoot screen tests for the role featuring Shaun Cassidy, John Saxon, Jimmy McNichol, Christopher Lee, Larry Storch, and Les McKeown from the Bay City Roller.

Erin realized that the role of Peter Criss could only be filled by one man - Peter Criss. Thus after a number of years, she was able to convince Peter to star in a series of Peter's Angels movies.  The movies were low budget, and vary from suspense to comedy. You never knew what you were getting when you went to a Peter's Angels movie.

Evil A-Go-Go  :  Hijinx ensues in this 3D romp as a mad scientist creates evil twins of Peter Criss and the Angels.  Can the real Angels get to the big concert before their evil alter egos destroy the world with the Super Psycho Hitler-o-graphic Time Machine? With Criswell as Herr Doktur and William Shatner as Taskmaster Mindbender.
Peter's Angels Vs. The Wax Phantom  :  The Angels help a woman whose father left her a wax museum that appears to be haunted by the ghost of the Wax Phantom.
Go Go Gorilla  :  Peter and the Angels are on a collision course with wackiness when an inept hijacker in a gorilla suit tries to hide out in the local zoo after stealing an energy ray weapon from a deranged doctor.
Terror on the Creepy Old Autobahn :  This supernatural thriller pits Peter and the Angels against a vigilante mad scientist intent on ruining Peter's career.  When the angels stumble upon top secret documents, they are lead on a cross continent chase in pursuit of a dare-devil who was presumed dead until he resurfaced during a crime spree at the O.S.I.  The trail leads them to the fight of their lives as their nemesis reactivates an army of legendary burial demons who were trapped in pods within a secret fortress in a creepy location.  For some unknown reason, there are occasional shots of the demons doing what appears to be a tap dance in top hat and tails.
Wake Me When the Bionic Man Screams :  The Angels run afoul of an insane doctor performing mind control surgery, who is turning the people of a small town into telepathic, levitating, mad men.  The process can be reversed only by lifting the curse of the clones, which has plagued the town for centuries.  This movie features musical numbers, slo-mo disco dancing, and the questionable idea of having all the characters on roller skates. There are unintentional laughs in this low budget picture as some actors frantically try to stay on their feet while saying their lines. Features the return of Criswell as Herr Doktur plus William Shatner in a cameo as Taskmaster Mindbender.
