Welcome
to Haunted Hallway 2005!
As you probably have figured-out, we are doing a science fiction theme this year similar to "Alien".
We are presently looking for more families to volunteer to make various events for the hallway. I am personally working on a control room and an "eggubator" for our ship. We also hope to build a full size robot and a transporter, if time allows.
We currently have scouts building; a frozen crewman, laser maze, and exploding chest crewman. We still need to have the "broken android table" built and possibly one or two alien costumes put together. We could also use some stands and uprights to cordon off the displays so the kids do not get too close. A flat wooden stand with 2-3 foot tall pvc or wooden shaft would keep them back when strung with a tape or rope.
It's up to the scouts to come-up with their own costumes. Some have volunteered to be guides. A few others will be crewman. The remainder will either be operating things behind the scenes or playing aliens. Anything that you can come up with that looks "spacey" or industrial will help give the hallway that inside the spaceship look. We are currently looking for; an air pressure tank and hose to give a little squirt of air from under a table, DVD players and smallish TVs, interesting lighting fixtures, CD boom boxes with repeat/loop feature, robot or futuristic toys, mylar(from space blankets and the lining of packages like dog food), black plastic to cover the hallway walls, chasing light strings.
Our basic script so far is available here. A map of the hallway is available here.
We've had great participation in the past and look forward to everyone working together on this event again this year. Please come forward with any ideas and materials you have.
