Wild Salmon Spawning in Maine
Banquet News

The objectives of the Merrymeeting Bay Charter of Trout Unlimited (MMBTU) is to preserve, and conserve trout and other salmonid fish as game fish through: cold water fisheries management, proper land, water, and watershed management, sound fishing regulations, the education of members and the general public, and to have fun fishing.

The Merrymeeting Bay Chapter of Trout Unlimited meets around 6:00 PM the second Tuesday of each month from September through May with a Christmas Party in December, an annual banquet in April, and an organized (???) club fishing trip in June. The meeting locations vary, so please check our news letter page or post an e-mail note and we'll get back to you with the latest location if you plan on attending. The meetings consist of presentations by guest speakers covering topics of conservation, dam removal, past fishing trips locally or globally, etc. Most business is conducted at the board of directors meetings leaving the regular meetings for entertainment. All meetings are open and all are welcome to attend.

Our membership area covers parts of Androscoggin, Cumberland, Kennebec, Lincoln, and Sagadahoc Counties. The chapter is basically located in Central-Coastal Maine in proximity to Merrymeeting Bay with fishing interests state wide.
