| The Pleides cluster, also known as the Seven Sisters, looks like a tiny "Little Dipper" high in the sky on cold, moonless New England nights. The blue nebulousity only shows up on long exposure photographs. I read somewhere that the nebulousity is not associated with the cluster itself, and is actually nebulousity between the stars and ourselves, but I am not sure if that is true. The best way to view the Pleides cluster is from a dark sky with a good pair of 11x80 binoculars. The stars all glow like little jewels in a black velvet background. | ||||
