At St. Michael's we are Christians nurtured by the Word of God in Christ Jesus by common worship, the sacraments, outreach and our shared life. We worship Christ in God's Church in the Anglo-Catholic tradition using the 1979 Book of Common Prayer.

The officiating clergy (rector) wears full vestments as do the members of the choir, the acolytes and chalice bearers. The cross leads our procession into worship and then out into the world God calls us to serve. Torch bearers, choir, gospel book bearer, servers and priest complete the processions.

Music at the 10:00 a.m. liturgy is vibrant as we sing the hymns of the Church using the Hymnal 1982. The choir adds pieces from Lift Every Voice and Sing and the wealth of Taize music. We pray God to help us know our need of Christ Jesus and our need to continue to grow and change as we explore what it is that God has in mind for us as the Parish of St. Michael's.

We have a dedicated core of lay persons, many of whom have a long history here, who work hard to help maintain the physical and spiritual integrity of the church. Our hope is that other members will continue to grow into leadership roles and that new members of all ages will join us.

At the same time that we grow from within, members of the parish have expressed a desire to increase our presence in the community as well. Parish leadership continues to lead the congregation in exploring the mission and ministry of St. Michael's -- praying God to direct and move us to be the people he has created us to be.
