About the Salty Sheepdog Baa & Grille

Web Design
I've been working on the Web since the mid-1990s, back when you still had to walk 6 miles uphill both ways to get to work and people meticulously hand-carved every letter of their code into stone. Consequently, I've created some old-style sites (my older efforts) and some newer ones. Eventually, everything I still maintain will be upgraded to a new CSS/XHTML model with W3C standards-compliant code.
If you're looking for reasonably-priced Web site design, have a look at the new, standards-compliant sites and contact me.
Some newer Web sites I've designed:
- Bearded Collie Club of Maine
- BorderCollics Anonymous, LLC
- After Dark Bearded Collies
- Gregory Hall, Composer (but Greg maintains it himself)
- SolidPhase, Inc. (under construction)
- J&M Lighting Design, Inc. (under construction)
- Prospect Dog Training and Prospect Labradors (iWeb site)
- Vacationland Dog Club (Viviti beta site, maintained by the club)
- Bearded Collie Club of America National Specialty 2009 (to be unveiled later this year)
- Avalon Beardies
The old Web sites:
- The prototype for Beardie Agility Diehards
- The prototype for WayToMe Acres
- Maine Composers' Forum (now defunct)
Freelance Writing/Blogging
I am an occasional contributing writer for Downeast Dog News and have blogged about Dog Shows 101 for MaineToday.com. My articles have also appeared in the Tale's End (newsletter for New England Old English Sheepdog Rescue), for which I served a term as proofreading/editing help, the Telegram (newsletter for the Piscataqua Obedience Club), and Hair of the Dog (newsletter for the Bearded Collie Club of Maine).
In addition, I blogged the 2007 Bay Colony Dog Show for my blog Dog Show Newbie at the invitation of the show's PR agency, and will be returning to blog about the 2008 show.
I am also a member of the Dog Writers' Association of America, and I am a certified AKC Canine Good Citizen tester.
