Our worship services are conducted in the traditional format, blended with hymns and praise/worship choruses. A nursery is available for infants and toddlers; and junior church operates for ages 4 through 9.
Women’s Bible study was organized to nurture women in the Christian faith—focusing on the life and spiritual needs of women.
FROG’s (Fully Relying On God) is a preteen group that explores the issues and challenges that boys and girls, ages 10-12, face on a daily basis. Further, its ultimate goal is to teach those in its care how to make decisions that would not only please God, but would also be the wisest for the individual and most beneficial for society and the Christian community.
The Senior Youth group is an outreach to teenagers. The leaders are very concerned that the church be relevant and nurturing to today’s youth. Often times, teenagers are overlooked and their needs not addressed. Many have questions about God, the Christian faith and life in general. This group is a place for teenagers to find answers to their questions. Disciple-making is the emphasis in the Bible studies.
Wednesday night Bible study is the time the members and friends of the Goodwins Mills Advent Christian Church come together for collective prayer as well as to study the Bible in an informal and relaxed setting. We recognize that prayer must under gird all that we do.
Women’s Home and Foreign Missions Meeting is the organization where the Goodwins Mills Advent Christian Church supports the denomination’s International ministries and special outreach ministries within the United States and Canada.
Our Men’s Ministry challenges men of all ages to be spiritual leaders in their home and in the church. It further seeks to be a safe environment for men to hold each other accountable in the way they live for God and a place to discuss and address those issues important to men.
The Young Adult Ministry is designed to bring together younger adults within the congregation for fellowship and Christian nurturing.
