CYC/OWRI LLC builds high performance open-water rowing boats using cored composite construction. Cored composite construction uses a foam core between structural skins, producing a boat that is light and strong. These materials are vacuum bagged and heat cured in the mold, reducing weight and eliminating voids. This is the same technology that is used to build fast, tough ocean racing sailboats.
