This day started slushy and gray in the lowlands, but the sun gradually came out as we climbed, and the amount of snow increased and dried out with elevation. Wind picked up and chilled down too. Lots of snow in the trees. The trail was in good shape, with snow only, no ice. No problem topping the ridge without crampons. Beautiful views to the East. No other climbers on the ridge trail, but we saw that some folks had come up behind us and stayed on the Baldface Circle Trail.
