Trail starts about a mile past the wardens station on Route 9. Trail starts as a road and about 1/2 mile later follows a dried brook bed to the top. This is a nice woods walk, not very steep and would be great to take kids up. Unfortunately the summit does not afford views, however if you go about 100 feet to the left of the cell tower, it opens up to a ledge that affords some good views. Climb up the shot unused tower about 6 feet and look to the south east and you can see the mountains of Mt. Desert Island. Trip takes about 45 minutes to the summit and about 30 minutes back down.
