| Comments | Ski poles are very helpful for the slippery parts of the trail. Sunglasses and gloves for the summit, and two extra pairs of socks in case you slip through some of the snow. |

The trip was spectacular for anyone looking for a tough day
trip. There was a little snow at the beginning, even some ice, but nothing too bad. Halfway up there was a good 2 - 3 feet of packed snow, which is what made it more difficult than usual. But the leafless trees presented spectacular views of the mountain's summit, which was facinating, but it also really tested my determination. There was a fairly strong wind, which made the last bit a little hairy, but being able to see for miles in every direction is fabulous. My favorite view is what I think is south west. (The jagged mts to the left if you're facing Mt Washington).Home Page | Mission | Membership | Directory | Committee News | Trip Reports | Links |
