Hiked Speckled Mtn. in Evans Notch today, Sunday 2-21-99. Left the Cold River Camp ground at 9:00 and we were on the sumit at 12:30 and back to the vehicles at 3:00. We used snowshoes most of the way. Temps were in the 20’s and not a cloud in the sky. Good views of Washington. Some nuts (4) actually drove snowmobiles up the Bickford Brook Trail to the summit and then down the Blueberry Ridge Trail. We did not see them come out, they might still be there.
