We followed the trail past the cataracts on the Andover side. The trail was in good shape while we had no elevation but once we began to climb it was pretty rough. There was quite a bit of erosion. I would not want to hike this trail in the Spring or during heavy rains. After we joined up with the Dunn Brook trail it was in much better shape.

Both times I have been on East Baldpate is has been VERY windy. My suggestion is that even on a warm day be prepared for a cool wind.
