GORANSON FARM CSA PROGRAM
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a concept developed first in Europe. It provides a mutually beneficial arrangement between farmer and community. In exchange for financial support in the spring from the "shareholder," the farmer commits to provide healthy, locally-grown food through the growing season.

We have offered have offered a CSA program since 1992. We and our shareholders have found great benefit working together, trading a season's worth of food for help with start-up expenses in the spring to grow the food. Shareholders save money throughout the year and receive the freshest vegetables, seedling starts, flowers, our own sweet maple syrup, and our farm-raised meats.

In addition to "fresh off the vine" produce, a winter share of storage crops is available from November through March. Winter share items include potatoes, beets, carrots, leeks, garlic, onions, squash, cabbage, rutabagas, and turnips. We feature different potato and squash varieties each month. Also included each month are recipes and storage tips.

Produce shares may be picked up at our farm stand or at any of our markets. More information about our CSA program is given with the sign-up form. To learn more about CSA and other farming practices, see our resource page.

OUR FARM STAND

Select from a variety of fresh, in-season organic produce, berries and other fruit, fresh and dried flower bouquets and other herbs. We also have locally produced cheeses, honey, baked goods, fresh eggs, dried beans, preserves, and our farm-raised chickens and pigs. Look for cuts of locally produced beef and pork, and chicken pies in our freezer.

Our farmstand in Dresden is open 9am to 6 pm seven days a week from mid-May through October, with weekend days in November. From November to March, the farm offers winter veggies stored in our root cellar. Shareholder families and friends are encouraged to visit the farm anytime.
