Miter Oruga Throw

This throw is knit in one piece, one square at a time so there is no sewing squares together when finished. You can make throw with as many squares as you want. Sample pictured is 6 squares, 2 x 3.  Knits up very fast on size 17 needles! Originally I had planned to make a felted rug ~ 2 squares ~ but it was so soft and lovely that I decided to make it a throw and it grew to 6 squares just because it was so nice to work with! So much for planning!

 Oruga: 1 sk per square ~ 4 squares = 4 sk

Pattern  $7,50  or $5 with yarn

Butterfly Beaded Shawl & Scarf

Designed by Joan Dyer

The two designs above are two of the most beautiful, elegant garments I've ever seen in our yarns. Give Joan Dyer yarn and she creates treasures!

I am so impressed with what she does!

This sweater is knit using Tess Designer Yarns Silk and Ivory, a buttery soft and lightweight yarn. It is raglan style, with a henley neckline, and a knitted butterfly pattern along the yoke. The sweater works with pants or skirt, next-to-the skin or with an underblouse, and can be made more dressy by choice of buttons or by including optional beads along the yoke pattern. A matching scarf, or a shawl, extend the sweater use into cooler evenings.

2 sk Silk & Ivory ~ $50 per sk     2 sk Superwash Petite ~ $25 per sk

This shawl is knit using Silk and Ivory. It is knit in two pieces, from narrow edges in towards the center, joined with an almost invisible kitchener stitch. The shawl is enhanced using size 8/0 hex seed beads in a closely matching color, applied using a crochet hook while knitting. The faceted beads add subtle sparkle and suggest elegance. The beads used in the sample are from twisted-sistah.
