 Miter Squares Baby Blanket

This blanket is knit in one piece, one square at a time so there is no sewing squares together when finished. There is an optional ribbon edging. Sample pictured is 56 squares, each approx 3” x  3”. Sample is knit using super soft Angora & Merino and Microfiber Ribbon alternated at random intervals. I love the softness and the aura of the angora but this baby blanket would also be nice using Superwash Merino AND it would be machine wash & dry - great for babies!

As shown: 1 sk Microfiber Ribbon and  2 sk Angora & Merino

Suggested options: 1 sk Microfiber Ribbon and  1 sk Superwash Merino

or  1 or 2 sk Superwash  Merino ( more for larger blanket)

Miter Baby Blanket Square

Designed by Sue Wright Pedersen

This blanket is one big mitered square finished off with ribbon square and edging. The ribbon was used on the initial sample to finish when we ran out of the Superwash Merino. We liked it so much that we suggest that you do it the same way. You can get a second sk of Superwash instead but we prefer the ribbon and it really dresses it up to make the blanket more of an heirloom. For everyday, drag along the ground kind of wear the Superwash is tougher but either one is machine wash & dry!

1 sk Superwash Merino and 1 sk Microfiber Ribbon or

2 sk Superwash Merino
