This is a shallow and very sheltered site. As you can see in the
satelite image the basin
of the cove is mainly a sandy expanse but the sides are lined with
interesting ledges and there are a few scattered outcroppings in the
open areas.
Parking is on broad shoulders on the side of the road and restricted
to residents during the summer season. In the off season no one
should bother you.
We have made the "yellow" dive along the left side of the cove and
it was enjoyable even on a day when things were stirred up. A buddy
who is a resident has been there often and speaks highly of venturing
around the point on the right hand side as well.
Between parking restrictions and the modesty of the site it's not a
big draw for divers but at the right time with the right conditions
it can save the day. It also gets high marks as a skin-dive site.
